Using lavender essential oil should not be a problem if it is 100% undiluted essential oil and then diluted properly in a carrier such as almond oil, jojoba oil, lotion, water, etc. Perfumes are synthetic (thus you body might reject them and allergies occur) but essential oils are natural and come directly from the plant. Again, you must always dilute the EO in a carrier. If you’d like to make a little perfume oil, I’d put 10-12 drops of Lavender essential oil into 1 ounce of jojoba oil.

How do I use Lavender oil when I am severely allergic to perfumes, especially flower scents?
